Happy 4th of July to the country that opened its arms to me 16 years ago, I’m extremely grateful for all the amazing opportunities and experiences that you’ve given me.
Thank you for being my second home for so long and for letting me achieve so many goals and pursue so many dreams. Thanks to your hospitality, I went to a great college, became a professional, landed my first real job, built the most valuable friendships, met the love of my life, gave birth to my beautiful baby girl Violet and began this incredible journey of selfless love that motherhood is.
God bless you, America, you’ve kept me and my loved ones safe and happy.

This year, I celebrated your birthday from miles away, in Peru (my birth country), but my heart was with you since I woke up this morning and washed the breakfast dishes listening to Bruce Springsteen singing “Born in the USA” and “Glory Days.”
Salud en este día tan especial, my dear.
Cheers to you, my dear.
